One of our Student Leadership Team, Joshua Shaw, has been selected for the Great Britain U18 Ice hockey team. The Year 11 student has had to participate in a number of trials since last August and the final selection was made in January.

The team will take part in an International tournament in Estonia, competing for gold against other countries, all hoping to be promoted into a higher division. They travel as a team to Estonia at the end of March where they will be preparing and training for the start of the tournament which takes place from the 4 – 9 April.

Joshua’s mum, Emma Shaw, said: “This is a huge achievement for Joshua which he has worked very hard for and we are of course very proud of him.”

Josh is a very motivated student with a very mature work ethic and as a school, we are pleased to be able to support him at this crucial time for both his academic and sporting career. Good luck Josh!
