We’ve marked Global Recycling Day in school today with a variety of different activities.

Ten students from Years 8 and 10 offered to help run a few stalls in the hall at lunchtime. The aim was to raise awareness of how important recycling is, to remind students and staff to recycle and to have a bit of fun. They sold a few pencils, badges, and keyrings and lots of students took part in the competitions we had going on.

Mrs Elias’s tutor group won the stationery competition. Pencils, house points and a certificate are on the way! Miss Verlander won the Milk Bottle competition and will be getting a t-shirt. There were 122 tops in the bottle – Miss V guessed 125!  Josiah Horne and Freya Crump won the Sock Monster competition and have already collected their prizes (a t-shirt and a couple of Unicorn crafting kits).

We still have keyrings and badges available for 50p each. Students should see Miss Fennell if they would like to buy one.
