On Tuesday 24 May the Young Interpreters invited along a selection of EAL students to a Jubilee Tea Party. They presented an introductory powerpoint they had made about the Queen and explained how important her 70 year reign was to this country. We then had a typical afternoon tea party, where the students sampled scones with clotted cream and jam. Our Young Interpreters then engaged our EAL students with a jubilee themed wordsearch and a game of bingo. All students had a good time and we challenged our EAL students to make their own scones at home with their families by giving them a recipe card.
