Miss Cole reports: “We had a superb session with Josh Rogers from Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Wild Landscapes team for some of our Year 8s yesterday morning. Josh’s enthusiasm and passion for conservation shone through and our students were brilliant – they were able to learn about ecosystems and the importance of soil, and carried out some soil testing in a hands-on practical science/geography workshop. It was most enjoyable and really interesting. We are looking forward to our next session in two weeks’ time, when we will find out the results of the soil sampling and understand better how we can improve the biodiversity on the mound. Many thanks to our students for a brilliant way to spend a Monday morning!”
