Back in May we entered 57 Year 10 Separate Science students into the National Scientific Thinking Challenge run by Warwick University. They completed an online Science challenge, with the aim for students to think like a scientist by answering questions which required them to interpret data/information about current scientific and engineering research projects. This year there were over 16000 students nationally who took part in the challenge.
Mrs Pullen proudly told us: “This year we achieved our best ever set of results with 39 students getting major awards. Thirteen students received bronze awards for being in the top 40%, 19 students earned silver awards for being in the top 25% and we had seven students receive gold awards for being in the top 10%! Our top performing student was Amy B who achieved an incredible 89% on some really challenging questions. Well done to everyone who took part.”
