Thank you to Richard Pomfrett from The Stay Safe Initiative who was in school today to work with our Year 7 and Year 9 students to help everyone build a safer, more resilient and empowered digital life.  Prior Richard’s visit the students completed a survey about their online world. The results were collated and informed his presentation with relevant data for each group.

Year 7s learned how to manage their rapidly growing digital lives and how to take ownership online. The session for Year 9 was designed for the slightly older audience, looking closely at the appropriate use of social media and online interactions, helping them to understand the impact of what they do online today and how it can affect their future.

The Stay Safe initiative is a not for profit company set up to help educate and protect young people. Providing relevant, up to date education through engaging, workshops, assemblies, presentations and projects for age groups ranging from primary and secondary level education through to colleges, universities and the workplace.
