Mrs Loxton reports: “The History department have been delivering assemblies to all year groups for the past week – looking at understanding why Holocaust Memorial Day is so important and how victims of the Holocaust such as Anne Frank could look towards a brighter tomorrow.

16% of all post on social media deny the Holocaust happened so it is so important that the testimonies and truths of these people are shared so history does not repeat itself.
The History department invites students to light a candle at 8pm on the 27 January to Light up the Darkness. This will be part of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trusts National commemoration and we will create a collage of all pictures that we receive.”
