In ‘normal’ times we have lots of visits and extra-curricular trips.  In the last few years we’ve had overseas trips to USA, India, Nepal, Tanzania, Italy, France, Belgium and Germany.  2021 was due to see a resumption of our annual ski trips.

We have regular theatre visits; previous productions have included a Christmas Carol, Woman in Black, An Inspector Calls and lots of Royal Shakespeare Company productions.  GCSE History students visit Dover Castle to see how its evolved over the centuries and take part in the Hitler on Trial production.  Younger students have visited the Corinium Museum in Cirencester.

The Modern Languages team have taken students to the German markets at Christmas and plans were underway for a German exchange trip.  There is a joint Language and Maths trip to Paris every year.

Students studying GCSE Design Technology have visited the Design Museum in London.  The Art department went to the Compton Verney Art Gallery in Warwickshire as part of their Optical Art studies as well as the Pitt Rivers museum in Oxford.  Year 7 usually camp at PGL Boreatton near Shrewsbury for a weekend in July.

Our Business Studies students have visited various locations in recent years – Chelsea Football Club, Nike Town, the Bank of England museum and Oxford Street on their visit to London.

We will resume these important educational visits and extra-curricular trips as soon as we are able.
