We are delighted to be celebrating identity, diversity and representation through “The Festival of Us” this week. Through extra-curricular events and in lessons, we will be celebrating all of the different identities that we are lucky to share at Bradon Forest School. We have asked if students would like to share something about their identity with their tutor groups if they are comfortable – this could be a photograph, story or even an item that holds significance that they would like to share.
In PE, students will be exploring different cultures, identities and beliefs through a range of fun, adaptable and explorative sports and activities. These activities range from various countries, exploring a range of disciplines from dance, orienteering, creative arts and competition. All students next week to bring in football boots, trainers and grippy socks to their PE lessons please.
Mrs Evans report: “We launched the Festival Of Us yesterday in PE, with 9B girls being introduced to the very popular sport of Pickleball that originated from USA. The girls played competitive doubles matches and the serving and volleying improved rapidly with some fab rallies being played! Well done to the following who were Pickleball winners on their respective courts.”
