Miss Piesse reports:”On Tuesday 10 February, we took our GCSE Drama cohort and a small group of Year 9 students to Oxford Playhouse to see the play adaptation of ‘The Woman in Black’. As always the students were absolutely outstanding, represented the school brilliantly and did us all so proud. They all throughly enjoyed this spooky trip and were incredibly engaged and on the edge of their seat throughout every minute of the performance! Some of our students have commented on their favourite elements of the production:

Grace C & Eira L (Y9): “The play we saw was amazing, we loved how it incorporated lots of comedy elements and conventions of gothic drama.”

Dylan B (Y10): “The Woman in Black amazing show with lots of special effects and great acting it scared the audience and created a tense atmosphere.”

Poppie G: “I thought it was so scary! But I really enjoyed the whole thing and how creative it was!” 

Our Year 11 Group commented on ‘how interesting the story line was and how engaged [they] were. [They] loved the multi-roling between characters, and the minimalistic set. The stage and set was so eery but cleverly done!’
